As you are likely aware, the California government has issued a statewide mandatory shelter in place order in effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. In the wake of this, we are taking measures to ensure the safety of your pets and our staff members. The following is information about COVID-19 and what we are doing.
Are you still operating?
Currently, yes, The Animal Keeper and Pet Suites is a type of business that is deemed “essential” by the state. We have changed our hours at all our locations; we are now 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday and 9:00am to 5:00pm on weekends. This change of hours goes into effect on Monday March 23rd, 2020. We will keep you posted of any further changes but currently, we are not planning to cease operation.
What are you doing to keep pets, customers, and staff safe during this time?
At The Animal Keeper and Pet Suites, we have always practiced methods of constant cleaning and sanitation. Even in normal times, it is our duty to ensure pets are kept in a clean environment to help prevent the spread of illness such as canine cough. We have upped our cleaning and sanitation times to ensure the safety of the pets in our care as well as our staff. Like everyone else, we are practicing good hygiene (hand washing, wearing gloves, covering mouth when sneezing/coughing, etc.) and social distancing as much as possible.
Curbside pick up/drop off service
For your convenience and protection, we are currently offering curbside service using designated pick up and drop off parking spaces for daycare, grooming, boarding and dog food/treats/toys. Just give the staff a call and we will meet your needs using the utmost sanitary precautions, without you getting out of your car.
*New* Pet Food Delivery
We are offering a pet food delivery service for orders of $50 or more if you live within 5 miles of one of our locations. Give your closest location a call with your order and we will charge your card over the phone and make the delivery. Please call your favorite location for delivery days and times. We carry Taste of the Wild kibble and canned food in Bison/Venison and Salmon. Our stock varies by location so please call to see if we have what you are looking for.
If you are ever in need of care for you pets, remember we are here for you. While many of you may be working from home, you can always drop off Fido for daycare while you run to the store or if Fido is demanding attention while you are working on that important report due at the end of the day. We hope you think about us when it comes to your pet’s needs. Regardless, we wish you all well in this hard time. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones.
